Broiler and egg producers

Broiler and egg producers know how tough it is to find people who will do this kind of work. It is hot, dusty, and uncomfortable inside the poultry facilities. It can take your breath away. Is it surprising that many US workers don't want to do this work?

Also, there are special skills involved with poultry production. Because of the large investment in the birds and equipment, poultry growers are reluctant to allow just any careless person access to their houses. The nature of the daily grind means that workers generally have to be willing to work 7 days a week.

These factors make finding seasonal labor difficult for the grower. Mexican workers, once they have found a good and considerate employer will want to come each year to make your operation a success by being a good worker. You can invite them for up to 10 months a year and still qualify for the H2A program under the Department of Labor rules.
